Reinforcing good practices on the line just got a little easier with Drishti. Our new Standardized Work Videos are a great way to keep line associates up-to-date on new best practices and to retrain them on existing standardized work sequences. As an engineer, having an always available reference to video-based standardized work, helps to keep processes optimized for maximum productivity and improved quality.
If your lines are already set up and have AI data populating Drishti Analytics, you already have a default set of standardized work videos ready to use. We have selected the first video in your station Line AI Video Set as your standardized work video for that station.
If you are a new customer and are just setting up your lines for Drishti AI data, here’s how you can enable your Portal with this new feature once you have initiated an AI request via the Setup menu:
1. Navigate to Setup -> Line AI Video Sets -> Drishti AI and click the "Details" link for the appropriate line (for an overview of Line AI Video Sets, see release note: https://drishti.com/release-no...)
2. Select a station you want to define actions and cycles for by initiating an AI request or click the edit video link for a station that is already set up
3. Select and annotate videos and enter an actions list as needed for the station AI request (for this step, see release note: https://drishti.com/release-no...)
4. The first video you select to annotate will be the standardized work video by default
Keeping a complete record of your line’s standardized work in Drishti is important because it unlocks new ways of validating good and not so good processes—improving performance over time to create stability on the line.
To that end, we’ve included a new way to use these videos, so your teams get maximum benefit. The Standardized Work Videos page under the Training menu has been added.
Now, you can validate and demonstrate what good standardized work looks like for every station on the line—all in one place.
Note: If a video is not visible on the new Standardized Work Video page for a station, you will need to annotate video in the Line AI Video Set settings, please see instructions above.
With the new Standardized Work Video page, you can adjust the video viewing area and Actions List.
Follow actions as they are demonstrated and expand the Actions List for more details.
Easily navigate from station to station and create more space for viewing your standardized work video.
Even if you are not using Drishti to validate standardized work through an automated audit, using this feature makes demonstrating standardized work easy. New people on the line can watch these videos anytime, anywhere, so training is more effective and efficient.
And, when they’re used alongside a standardized work audit, this new feature provides the information engineers need to analyze and optimize complex processes for better performance.
