It can be difficult to quickly and accurately predict when the production team on the floor will hit its shift target. These decisions are key to scheduling potential overtime and proactively accommodating workers’ needs.
That is why we added the Drishti Production Trend Forecast feature to our current Analytics toolset. With this novel predictive feature, you can view a forecast of how many cycles are expected to be completed by the end of the current shift. Based on this prediction, you can make better-informed scheduling decisions.
You can access this powerful feature by navigating to the Production & Line Trend page under the Analytics tab. Here, you can find a live Production Rate chart, which dynamically updates starting 30 minutes into the shift.
Hover over the red line on the chart to view how much production is expected to be done at the given time, along with the 95% prediction interval. You can also hover near the end of the shift to determine whether or not the production target will be hit.
To set a production target, click the pencil icon under Cycles Observed and type in target values for each shift and product. After you click save, you will be able to see a horizontal yellow target line on the Production Rate chart. If the target line and forecast line intersect, you can take the appropriate scheduling steps.
With this feature, you can leave the predictive heavy-lifting to Drishti and make the best and most proactive decisions for you and your employees.
