Drishti is honored for enabling manufacturing excellence through innovative AI technology that empowers human workers and enhances manual assembly processes
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – March 16, 2021 – Drishti today announced that it has been recognized as a Manufacturing Leadership Awards winner for its partnerships with Ford Motor Company and HELLA GmbH & Co. KGaA for outstanding achievement in Engineering and Production Technology Leadership and Artificial Intelligence and Analytics Leadership, respectively.
The partnership has enabled Ford Motor Company to gather precise process cycle and step analytics using Drishti, which ultimately led to increased standardized work adherence and significant opportunities for process improvements. HELLA realized a 7% cycle time reduction and increased standardized work adherence using Drishti’s AI to improve its analytics on manual assembly processes. In addition to Drishti’s recognition, Ford and HELLA were recognized with separate Manufacturing Leadership Awards because of the improvements they made through Drishti.
“The Manufacturing Leadership Awards recognizes projects that demonstrate outstanding achievement in use of technology and a measurable impact on business, strategy, and processes,” said Penelope Brown, content director for the Manufacturing Leadership Council and director of the awards program. “We commend projects like these for furthering the movement toward Manufacturing 4.0 and for serving as a role model for what is possible in the industry’s digital age.”
Also recognized for his individual digital transformation leadership was Raja Shembekar, vice president of North American Production Innovation Center at DENSO. Mr. Shembekar’s recognition came for his pioneering efforts to bring new technology onto the plant floor, including Drishti technology. Raja’s efforts have resulted in significant ROI for DENSO.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by NAM for the work we’ve done with Ford and HELLA, and with Raja at DENSO,” said Prasad Akella, founder and CEO, Drishti. “The results they’re seeing are a testament to the power of AI to unlock the full potential of everyone in the plant — including line associates, team leaders, industrial and quality engineers and plant managers. Drishti improves their decision-making by delivering high quality data and insights at the right time.”
Ford Motor Company, HELLA, Mr. Shembekar and Drishti will be recognized at the Manufacturing Leadership Awards Gala, which will take place as a virtual event on May 19, 2021.
Nominations for the 2022 Manufacturing Leadership Awards will open in August 2021.
